Love At First Sight II: Grand Entrances

When designing your cabin, what's the first thought that comes to mind? For family and friends, their first impressions of your home will be formed as soon as the walk in the front door.

In this mountain lodge, the owner's desired impression is clear as day the moment you walk through the door. As explored previously, vaulted ceilings and open beams lend the room a grand, rustic aesthetic.
The long hallway opens into the great room, where the solid structural elements of wood and stone are truly on display. Due to the cottage's open concept, the grand entrance doesn't only lead you into the great room, but into the dining and kitchen areas as well.
